It has superior adhesion, it’s easy to apply and self-levelling. Fusion™ requires minimal prep work, no finishing coat, waxing or ongoing maintenance making it perfect for painting most projects, including your metal front door! Which makes it super easy to have a painted front door.

My customer wanted to have a painted front door. She is a novice painter and wanted to step outside her regular comfort zone and came into Front Porch Mercantile for a little advice! She chose Fort York Red to give her that wow factor she was looking for.

She started with a plain metal door.

After a quick all-over scuff sanding and a very good cleaning, she used Fusion ™ Ultra Grip on the door. It goes on easy and dries clear.

Then 2 coats of Fort York Red

Isn’t this a cute shot, she matches the paint colour and does anyone really look this good while painting? Bev is always so positive and happy, I think painting agrees with her!

*Note* It’s super important to let acrylic paints cure. Acrylic paints are so durable and strong, they dry from the inside out, they will feel dry to the touch on the outside but are still curing on the inside. Give them a couple of days to cure and gently use them for the full cure time of 21 days. Leave your door open as long as possible and do not paint once temperatures dip below 10c.

We are loving the versatility of this paint. It’s perfect for interior or exterior application and the colour is just so rich. I am loving it on furniture too, I had not had time to do my front door yet and am very grateful to Bev for sharing her pictures and experience with me.

Thank you, Bev, for sharing your Fusion painting fun with us! You did a fabulous job!
