Well hello there!

Want to learn how I painted my Olympic Ring Sign?

I am not a sports junkie, and I am not 100% behind the Sochi 2014 Olympics, but I am a mom of an athlete, and if she was there I would want the world to support her. I am also a proud Canadian, so I am 100% behind our Canadian athletes and support them all the way! Go Canada Go! I decided to work on a window display for Valentines Day, Spring (because the Ground Hog said it WAS coming early) and the Olympics! I made a couple of cute Valentines signs last week (and have some fun Valentines packages ready for giving to your sweetheart).

Here is the package ready for your sweetheart (or for you to come to buy it for yourself). There are even a few chocolates in there!

I also decided to create an Olympic Ring sign.

Want to make an Olympic Ring sign for yourself? Go find a squarish board. I’ll wait while you go look in the garage and basement.

Got it? Ok Follow these easy steps using your Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint. I traced the circles using the lid of a yoghurt container (very fancy and technical tools here).

I did freehand the Go Canada – I know, messy and yucky, I should stick to stencils and vinyl! But I was anxious to finish, and as you know, we are cool with imperfect when it doesn’t have to be perfect. So I am leaving it and going with it! I did distress it a little and didn’t topcoat it as it will not get any wear! From a distance in the shop window it will be fine… right?

And done…

All total this took me about 30-45 minutes!

Now it’s your turn! Are you a fan of the Olympics? If you paint a sign, dress a window or get crafty with paints for the Olympics I’d love for you to share on my Facebook page.

Thanks for popping in today – I am always glad when you visit, truly! Leave me a comment if you can, I’d love to hear from you!
