I recently picked up this little metal stool. Solid but dated. Sometimes even paint nerds get annoyed painting large pieces. True story, and I had just completed several large pieces and was working on 2 more and looked over and saw the stool sitting all alone. I just stopped painting the big one and started painting this little wee one. I’m like a dog when they see a squirrel sometimes. I have to tell you, sometimes, the act of opening a can of bright red paint and putting it on a piece just makes me smile. So I did.
Fat Paint’s Red Barchetta is a fav. I just started painting the metal legs. Gorgeous right? If you follow me on Instagram you had a hint or two of what I was up to.
Isn’t it lovely?
Then I painted the top in Fat Paint’s Warm White.
And then had a little fun with Indigo and Red Barchetta on the top!
I sanded back the Union Jack to make it look “worn” and finished it with a coat of clear wax. Start to finish done in less than 2 hours including dry time, a coffee, and a chat with my BFF (and ok a cookie).
Fat Paint is Made in Canada, low VOC, easy and fun to use and of course available at Front Porch Mercantile.
I think my little stool has gone from dated to darling? She’s on the shop floor. Waiting for a new home. What do you think?
Thanks for poppin in!
Pip pip cheerio Ol’ Chap!

Nice job. A little paint makes such a difference. See my stool here. http://creativegleanings.blogspot.ca/2014/09/i-mixed-new-colours.html
