Check out our favourite business tools for creatives

I am regularly asked about blogging, about running a business, about my creative business coaching and other businesses-y things (yes, I made that word up). I have decided to add a Business/Blogging Resources page to my blog to help answer some of those questions.

The following resources are all items I use, are my personal opinion and have worked for me. Some of the links are affiliate links which mean they link back to a product that I may get a small commission for recommending at NO additional cost to you. I will never ever link or recommend something that I have not used or love (unless I let you know). Some are not affiliate links, I really really like these products. I pinky swear.

Bluehost

I believe you need to have a professional web site, I host my WordPress website through Bluehost. Great price and a great place to start.

I use WordPress to host my site.

Blogging for your Business Bootcamp

A great way to get started with blogging in your business is with this course

I have taken a lot of courses over the last few years and THIS COURSE Blogging for your Business Bootcamp from my friend and fellow retailer Allison Griffith is by far one of the best. Its organized and easy to take all the info in. I highly recommend it if blogging is on your list to do.

Diva Light Ring

You need to do Facebook Lives so you need a light – I held off forever ordering one and finally just went for it and wondered why I waited so long. This is the one I use and love.

MailChimp

This is the email service I use to gather emails for newsletters for our retail stores. I strongly recommend everyone have an email list. I find MailChimp very user-friendly and a great place to start out. You can find info here.

PicMonkey

I use PicMonkey daily for graphics and images. The free version is ok, but for the price, I upgraded to the crown version. It’s easy to use, just play around a bit first then you will be hooked. You can find PicMonkey HERE

You've got this

Stay Organized

I stay organized with my Planner Pad. As a creative, I don’t have a 9-5 job so plugging in a regular agenda is not going to work.

I love my Planner Pad and have used for 5 years.

This is just a small list of tools I use to run my creative business, I will add more as I try and use more.

If you have any questions about any of the above, just send me an email and I will see if I can help.

For more creative retail business guidance and support,  I also mentor and coach creative retailers and I would LOVE for you to check out my coaching services and reach out if I can help in any way.

I try to support and share resources and talk about tools listed here and how to grow your creative retail biz faster. You can join my FREE retailers FB group HERE, I would love for you to join us.

Wishing you great success in your business,

Wendy
